LLC Terminal Sovgavan
LLC Terminal Sovgavan is located on the coast of the Tatar Strait in Egge Bay of the Sovetsko-Gavanskiy District and has 2 berths with a total length of 300 meters. There is a railway access road on the territory of the enterprise, which allows for the delivery of goods by rail. There is a checkpoint across the state border, which provides the possibility of importing and exporting goods.
In 2021, the enterprise launched a large-scale modernization program, which includes adapting the berths to the installation of new modern handling equipment, purchasing new equipment, training personnel, and increasing the attractiveness of the enterprise as an employer by improving working conditions.
On the territory of Terminal Sovgavan, new office and sanitary facilities for employees have been built, the wage system with annual indexation, social guarantees, corporate programs and sports events has been revised. The actual number of employees for the period from 2021 to 2024 increased by 30%.
Today, LLC Terminal Sovgavan is equipped with modern technologies. Liebherr port cranes, some of the most productive handling machines in the world, have been put into operation. The versatility of these cranes allows them to be used for any work in the seaport, while guaranteeing high efficiency and productivity. The new generation pneumatic-tired cranes have become the first cranes in the entire history of the enterprise that can handle cargo over 80 tons each. They are equipped with high-capacity grabs and equipment for handling ISO containers. The enterprise has carried out a range of work to adapt berths and power lines to modern handling equipment, as well as prepare sites for receiving and storing containerized cargo with a capacity of at least 600 TEU. This type of activity has become a new direction in the enterprise’s work and allows increasing cargo turnover by expanding the range of cargo handled.
